Originally two plots divided by a towering mature hedge, the existing garden once well stocked was now overrun and overpowered by numerous large trees and self sown sycamore saplings.

Once building work on the house had been completed, the challenge was how to unite the two plots into one family sized garden without destroying the privacy and country character. Difficult decisions were taken over key ornamental trees in order to let in much needed light and open out the views from the house. The existing established orchard was to be retained and supplemented by soft fruit and a vegetable garden.
